The Joseph M. Bartholomew Municipal Golf Course is an 18-hole, par 72-course, owned and operated by the City of New Orleans Department of Parks and Parkways, the renovated course includes a double ended driving range, putting green and a fully stocked pro-shop.

The tradition of golf at City Park dates back to 1902. Today’s 18-hole course offers a convenient and affordable round of golf that is challenging yet fun round for all levels of golfers. City Park’s new Practice Center offers a full-service driving range with 74 range stalls and 2 grass hitting areas.

If you are in the New Orleans area, you can’t pass up this round of Louisiana golf as you are just a short drive from the “Big Easy” in Avondale.

Maybe it’s because I’m older now and I appreciate courses that are a little easier to get around. There are lots of bunkers, but many of them aren’t difficult. And the fairways are pretty generous.“
